19 But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
This verse is part of a larger passage in Matthew 19 that starts with Jesus warning about the appearance of the Abomination of Desolation in verse 15 of this chapter, after which he warns people that when this appears it is time for people to stop whatever they are doing and flee. I have been thinking about verse 19 for the last couple of days because so many of the changes that are going on in these last days that are affecting women and girls.
If you believe these are the end times, as I do, then it is impossible to deny that things that are happening in the world are impacting women at an increasing rate, and the more vulnerable and marginalized the women are, the worse the impact is being felt. Women in some Central and South American countries are losing their male children to gangs and their female children to sex trafficking, leaving them no choice but to leave their country and try to slip into the United States illegally in some cases. Women in some MENA countries are facing more and more radicalized islamofascist strictures of control; both of these examples are greatly exacerbated by soulless gun manufacturers who want to move a preset number of units per production hour no matter what happens as a result or whom it hurts.
Gender ideology is changing the lives of women and girls all over the western world. It is impacting the safety of female prisoners, women in domestic violence and homeless shelters and rape crisis centers, as well as in normal every day situations for all women like trying on clothes in a store or showering in a gym. Schoolgirls are being endangered by unisex bathrooms to the point that female children are having to be treated for bladder infections due to holding their urine all day because they are afraid to use the restrooms at school for fear of being sexually assaulted.
Female children are also pressured relentlessly by young male school peers to share nude photos, to the point where they are becoming porn before they even reach womanhood. The billion dollar porn lobby disseminates propaganda labeling resistance to the pornification of womankind as 'prudish', 'right wing', or 'religious conservative' and a certain number of people believe this is a fact instead of a marketing tactic. Women activists opposing gender ideology as the multi-million dollar pharmaceutical industry marketing scam that it is are labeled 'bigots' and canceled, banned from social media, harassed and stalked and almost inevitably fired from their jobs or de-platformed in their field.
I'm very alarmed at how profound an impact these three lobbies, guns, pharma, and porn, and their disastrous plans for exploiting humanity are hurting women and girls and hitting us the hardest. First Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing, which is something these times definitely call for. I know that prayer and spreading the truth of the Good News can help people come to their senses and see through what these relentless, ghoulish industries are doing to our world, but Revelation lays out for us that the world will be full of increasingly worsening troubles until the time of Christ's return. I hope everyone will accept Christ as Savior and walk in obedience to His teachings so that all will be called home with Him on His return.
