Matthew 24:21

"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be."

Jesus gives this response after answering a question from his disciples about signs that the end of the world or end of the age is about to come. He tells them in Matthew 24 that there will be wars and rumors of wars, that they will be handed over and beaten in the synagogues. He talks of false prophets and other deceivers that will arise, and how the love of most of humanity will grow cold and their hearts will harden. He says that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven will be preached to the whole world, and then the end will come.

Jesus then tells his disciples about the time of the Great Tribulation, but promises that once it is over, such a time will never come again. In the verses that follow he tells us that there will be many deceivers but for believers not to listen when someone says that Jesus Christ is in this earthly place or that, because when Christ comes to Earth for a second time the entire world will know it at once and know that it is Christ who has returned. It is a foreshadowing of a very magnificent supernatural event, during which no one can deny that what is transpiring is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

It's important for all of us to be prepared for the end to come; Christ wants to take all of us to Heaven with him so that we can spend eternity with him and God. I hope that everyone will come to know Christ and ask him into their hearts to be Savior and guide. Human beings need his forgiveness to be able to emulate the righteousness of Christ; we need to repent of our sins, ask for forgiveness and ask him into our heart to be our Savior and guide us along the path of obedience to his teachings. Below are some links to prayers for Salvation from Christ and a step by step for asking for Christ's Salvation.
